This summer Auckland Council proudly presents freebie Music in Parks for the 19th consecutive year. Set in stunning parks and reserves throughout the region from Franklin to Rodney, the Music in Parks freebie concerts are a highlight of Auckland's summer events calendar.
Music in Parks three series is each unique in character:
- Summer Sounds 2012 delivers four featured concerts with headline acts Tim Finn, The Black Seeds, Ladi6 and Midge Marsden.
- Jazz at the Rotunda is a showcase of the country’s finest line-up of jazz and blues musicians with a finale concert by international jazz sensation Nathan Haines.
- The Culture Garden presents an exceptional programme of music from beyond the mainstream realms, prepare for the unexpected.
